BCI Corredora de Bolsa
Mass wealth reporting for 160,000 clients
Sense IQ replaces BCI Corredora de Bolsa's legacy account-statement system with a modern, scalable and decoupled platform
PROBLEM
- BCI Corredora de Bolsa manages the investment accounts of 160,000 clients in Chile, each entitled to an official monthly account statement
- The legacy statement system relied on outdated database engines, making it difficult to modify the design and layout of the data in response to regulatory or commercial requirements
- Account executives needed to generate statements on demand for arbitrary periods, a workload the legacy system could not process efficiently
- The dependence on the legacy system was also holding back the bank's technology modernization efforts
SOLUTION
- Abaqus implemented its own statement generation and query system, decoupled from the legacy platform, with daily ETL pipelines that update the key information
- Statement generation in PDF, Excel and via API, on demand through a secure web application or in a semi-automatic monthly batch
- An administrative panel to monitor batch runs, with role-based access and full traceability of every document generated or downloaded
- A modern, independent architecture that lets the bank move forward with updating its core databases without halting reporting operations
RESULTS
- The system now produces the official statements for a universe of more than 193,000 accounts, and generated over 23,000 statements in January 2026
- A drastic reduction in wait times for clients and executives through instant on-demand generation
- Freeing up the legacy systems, enabling the modernization of the bank's databases without halting reporting operations
- The ability to adapt official reports to new CMF regulatory requirements in record time
- Outsourcing of the service, which allowed the brokerage to optimize its daily operations and advance its technology roadmap
